About Dr. Jennifer Campbell
Dr. Jennifer Campbell is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
She obtained a bachelor of science degree with a concentration in biology from Texas Tech University in 1997.
She earned her medical doctorate in 2003 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
In 2007, she completed her residency in Philadelphia at Hahnemann University Hospital, Drexel College of Medicine.
From 2007-2013 she practiced both as a general OB/Gyn in rural Ohio as well as an OB/Gyn hospitalist at a community hospital associated with the Cleveland Clinic in Lakewood, Ohio. In 2013 she transitioned to practicing as a full-time OB/Gyn hospitalist/laborist at Westlake, Ohio’s St. John’s Westshore Medical Center.
She delivered over 1000 babies throughout her career and was an active member of the Society of OB/Gyn Hospitalists (SOGH) during most of her career as a hospitalist.
In August 2020, Dr. Campbell took personal time off in order to travel the country, visiting an array of national parks in the western United States. This gave her an opportunity to spend time with family, as well as to ponder the next phase of her career.
From 2021-2022 she completed Dr. Gabor Maté’s professional course in Compassionate Inquiry (CI). CI is a therapeutic modality that seeks to improved a patient’s understanding of their own behaviors and emotions as well as to optimize communication between patient and provider.
In 2021 she was also accepted to complete a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at University of Hawaii’s JABSOM medical school in Honolulu. She packed up and moved 5000 miles west to embark upon this new adventure.
Following completion of this fellowship, she re-entered practice as a gynecologist, specializing in the menopausal transition.
Dr. Campbell is now credentialed as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner and sees women who seek help in navigating this phase of life.
She also continues to provide general gynecologic care.
As a credentialed ADM sub-specialist, she also has a busy practice in which she provides treatment services for patients with unhealthy substance use or substance-related health conditions.
